Just wanted to let everyone know that we have built a new house this fall and are currently off the grid. I have been waiting so long and we are finally there! As a result of being off grid, we no longer have internet access. I am still here, still making lures, but my response time to emails is a bit longer.
I check my email twice a week, so I will reply, just not the same day. I thank you for your patience.

Ice fishing season is soon approaching. I can't wait. My wooden lipless make awesome ice fishing lures.

I thank you all again for your continued support.
Happy fishing!

I'm not sure what's happening with this page... this is the best I can do haha!

Hyvää päivää!
It's been a while since I've had a chance to get to this blog.
As a painter, I get busy with a lot of different things.
From my lures, fenders, bumpers, running boards and rims..
the list goes on and there isn't much time left to get to my
computer for some reason. Just to let everybody know I haven't been
 standing still.
I thought I would share with you some pictures of what I've been doing.
I just wanted to say thank
you to everybody for all the
 awesome feedback I've received.
 Especially on the finish.
I heard one of my lures caught over 50 fish without a tooth mark. That's a compliment in itself!
I had to throw the picture of our
house number in there. :) That's what I do with my left over paint in the airbrush. I don't like to waste.
After much, much, much trial and error
(swimming blank pieces of wood in Arrow Lake
as passerby's give me funny looks),
these are my personal favorites to use.

Awesome fishing trip!

Fishing off the rocks at one of my favorite places to fish, my wife Melissa had her best fishing trip. Her second cast, a 3 pound bass. Two casts later, another 3 pound bass. She no more than got it off the hook, took one more cast, and reeled in her first Walleye. 7lbs 6oz 27 inches. All on the same lure. A 2" shallow diver L-lip. What an awesome little lure.
The black flies were disgusting, so we kept fishing. Not two minutes after her Walleye, I hooked my 2lb 8oz Bass. Threw my line back in and wham, my Walleye. 4lbs 6oz 22 inches. Both were caught on a 4-1/2" shallow diving perch.
We never expected to catch these so we will be prepared on our next trip with wire leaders and a bigger dip net. These babies made it to shore before they snapped the 6lb test with their razor sharp teeth.
Delicious meal after being cold and eaten alive by black flies, mosquitoes and ticks. :)

A few pictures

I wanted to show a picture of an order I did where I liked it so much, I made a batch for myself. Classic Rapala paint schemes in pearl and metallic.
I've been waiting a long time to get these lipless lures. I painted myself up a little army between painting your orders since I had the colors out. The lure on the top left is my wooden version at twice the weight at a 1/2oz.
These are the perch my wife stole and put into her tackle box.
Here is a lure I am sending with an order to Dan at Bow Narrows. There are four of them. Three perch and one walleye. They are a three jointed body floater/diver which is an amazing swimmer. Sure to attract some killer pike. I know Dan is not a greedy man so I thought possibly he could lend them out by the day to his guests and they can report back. These are a pricier lure at $18 CND per lure. I will be ordering more because I like them so much. They would be ready to ship out as soon as July. Perfect for mid-season pike.
After airbrushing nearly 400 lures in a month, I've developed some serious tendonitis in my hand and forearm. haha. So I have decided I am going to take a few days off to go fishing with the family. I think a well deserved break. I will be back in the wood shop in a few days to finish up the high demand of handmade wooden lures. No worries, all orders are right on track.
Be sure to take pictures of your catch so we can post them on the blog for all to see.
Feedback welcome! Happy Fishing!!

Lure orders

I would like to start by saying Thank You to everyone who emailed with their orders. Your business is greatly appreciated. I would like to let everyone know how I handle orders and what I need from you.
My minimum order is usually five. It is more cost effective and less time consuming. You do not have to order them in groups of five. You can order as many as you like as long as it is over five. The cost is $10.00 CND per lure. I do not have already completed lures on hand so orders are started when you request them. There is a wait time of three weeks for all orders. The sealer I use on the lures after they are painted takes 10 days to fully cure. I will not ship lures before they are cured! After the ten days they are ready to be dragged across the bottom of the lake and will take serious abuse from a musky strike without paint failure.
If you have specific body styles from the photo in my first blog let me know. Same goes for minnow pattern. Otherwise I will pick five lures and five patterns that are my favorites. I will also have an addition body style available very soon. It is a lipless deep diver.
For payment, I will send you a paypal invoice. You can either pay through paypal, through credit card or debit through paypal with the paypal invoice. Before I can send you the paypal invoice I will need your shipping address so I can have the exact shipping cost on the invoice.
For those of you who will be going to Bow Narrows Camp this summer, I can have your lures shipped directly to them and they will be waiting for you when you get there. Providing it is within 3 weeks of your order.
I can also liven up your old favorites to any pattern you want. Whether it is a pumpkin seed, Fire tiger, Walleye or any other pattern you can think of. There is no minimum order in this case. I do require that you send a prepaid shipping envelope with your lure(s). The cost will be determined based on the size of the lure.
Thank you again!

Hi everyone, thank you for your interest in my airbrushed lures! Personally, I have had a lot of fun playing around with different colors, patterns and applications on wood and plastic crankbait lures. Most people, when it comes to using cranks, always go to the prettiest most colorful one. So when my friend Dan asked me to do a more realistic minnow style, I finally had the challenge I've been waiting for.
Since Dan posted pictures of my lures on his blog he has had an overwhelming amount of responses which has prompted me to start my own blog to relieve him from being the middle man (which I greatly appreciate)! I am new to blogging so please be patient with me while I learn the ropes. I am not computer savvy at all and this will take some time for me to figure out. So hopefully I am not posting into nowhere lol.
I will try to put new pictures on as I create new body styles or paint styles. I also encourage you to contact me with any designs you would like on your lures. I can paint your standard color patterns or any custom pattern you like.
E-mail with any questions or suggestions or to place an order at
